This week we continued with our Christmas theme. In morning circle, we shared the story of the birth of Jesus and some children shared how they celebrate Christmas at home.
The children have started to make some Christmas crafts and gifts to decorate Kindergarten, including woollen trees, salt-dough decorations and papier-mache plant pots. They also enjoyed lots of movement activities including parkour, dancing, stepping stones and Zumba.
On Tuesday, we had lots of fun in the forest with Sandra and learnt the difference between a bird’s and a squirrel’s nest. The children were also very good at using their spotters guide to find different birds. We found: Great Tits, Pigeons, Crows and a Woodpecker.
We made bird feeders with the children. Next week, we will walk to Bavaria Park and hang them up as our Christmas gift to the birds and squirrels.
