A warm welcome to those children who were allowed to join us again this week and well done for settling into the new routines.
Unfortunately, due to the guidelines, we are unable to do morning circle or any singing. We have, however, been trying to spend as much time outside as possible and the children have really enjoyed finding worms and making ‘worm gardens’ at the playground.
Some changes to our routines:
Drop off
The red/green circle system is working really well in the morning, with parents only entering the building if the circle is green, turning it to red as they enter and back to green as they exit the building. We appreciate how fast you have been dropping your child/ren off by the cloakroom door and wearing mouth & nose masks in the building.
Pick up
The teachers will continue to bring your child outside to meet you at lunch and snack pick up.
Suncream
At the moment, we are not allowed to put sun cream on your child. On sunny days please make sure you have put sun cream on your child before kindergarten.
Appropriate Clothing
As mentioned, we are spending as much time outside in the fresh air as possible. So please send your child with appropraite clothing for both sunny and rainy days!
Equipment
Thank you for sending some colouring pencils/crayons, scissors, glue and sticky tape for your child’s personal use, while they are not permitted to use the ones in Kindergarten.
Summer Party
Unfortunately, due to the restrictions regarding the number of people permitted to gather, it does not look like it will be possible to have our summer party with all the children and families this year. Sorry. Instead we will have a small party with the children and teachers during the first week of August. More details to follow.
We do however, feel it is important to have a small celebration for the pre-school children, if this becomes possible. In order to present their school cones, say good-bye and help with the transition to school. Therefore, it is our and hope that we will be able to have a small summer party on the 18th July just for the pre-school children and their families. At the moment, even this is not possible as our group would consist of more that 10 people, so we will confirm this as soon as possible.

Summer Party Update
Good news! We will be able to have our summer party at the Boothaus on 18th July for everyone (families too). We will send invitations with all the details and are really pleased to be able to have this chance to have a party with everyone.
