Newsletter 06.12.2019

This week we talked about how making other children and people happy made St. Nikolaus very happy. We thought about the things we can do everyday to make other people happy and wrote a letter to St. Nikolaus sharing all the things we are going to try and do to make people happy. On Friday, St. Nikolaus came to visit us in Kindergarten and the children had a very exciting morning as they discovered the treats hidden in their slippers.

We have started to think about our Christmas Party and are learning two new songs ‘Morgen, Kinder’ and ‘Five Christmas Trees’. We have also been busy making invitations, which will hopefully come home to you on Friday.

The children practiced their shapes this week and started to make pictures of Santa using squares, triangles, oblongs and a circle.

The preschool children learnt the letter ‘L’, we played a sorting game thinking about the sound each word started with.

Forest Visit

Weather permitting, we will go to the forest at Süd Park. It will be chilly, so please send your child with all their winter clothes (Over-trousers, coat, boots, hat, gloves and scarf). Also, please can send your child with a rucksack containing their breakfast snack box and a bottle of water. We will leave Kindergarten and eat breakfast in the forest. Thank you!

Christmas Party

We will celebrate Christmas at Bubbles and would love for you to join us. The children will perform a couple of songs and a dance, then there will be lots of party games and activities to join in with before we sit down to share some party food. Please can you bring something savoury or sweet to share and add your name to the list in the cloakroom, thank you.

Please Remember

If you haven’t brought a jam jar yet, please can you bring one next week. It needs to be big enough to hold a tea-light. Thank you.

Christmas Biscuit Baking

We would like to bake some biscuits with the children. If you are available after snack and would like to join in, it would be great to see you. Please let one of the teachers know if you can come.
