Newsletter 01.03.19

This week we continued our theme, ‘Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer,’ and finished decorating Kindergarten with the characters from the story. In morning circle we began to learn a new song, ‘Engine, engine number nine’ and in our music session we used bells and glockenspiels to play the tune.

On Thursday we had a lovely time at the Gasteig, where we watched five musicians perform. The muscicians told a lovely adventure story, sailing around the world and playing tunes from famous composers.

We practiced the letters ‘o’ and ‘l’ and found objects starting with those letters. The children were very good at listening to words with those sounds.

Faschings Party

Next week we will be celebrating Fasching on the morning of Wednesday 5th March. Our theme will be ‘Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer,’ and the children have been excitedly talking the costumes they have been making at home.

Kindergarten will close at 12:30 after we’ve eaten lunch. Pick up 12:15-12:25. Thank you.

There will be no Sports lessons next week (4th-8th March) for the school holidays.

We are also lucky to have a university student, Monika, who will join us next week to start her work experience. She will work in Kindergarten between two and three days every week for the next couple of months.

Enjoy your weekend!
