This week we have had lots of music sessions during our Morning Circle. We learnt a new song in German ‘Brüderlein, komm tanz mit mir‘, which involved lots of fun actions. Our new English song this week was ‘April Shower’ from the classic Disney film ‘Bambi’. We enjoyed using the glockenspiels to make the sound of raindrops as we sang.
We also did lots of counting in English and German, recognising numerals to 10. We are practicing being able to say the number before and after any number to ten.
This week we have all had fun trying to make felt. We enjoyed touching and talking about how the wool fibers felt before and after we turned it into felt. We also realised it takes a lot of patience and resilience to keep rubbing the wool fibers together!
